Southern Oregon Archery, LLC didn't start as a business plan on a spreadsheet. It started the way all great things do, with a genuine love for the sport and a gap nobody else was filling.
When we opened our doors in Central Point, Oregon in 2006, there was no other full-service archery pro shop in the area. Hunters were driving hours for a bow tune-up. Beginners had nowhere local to learn. And serious archers were ordering gear online and hoping for the best. We decided to change that.
What started as a small shop has grown into Southern Oregon's go-to destination for everything archery, from compound bows and custom strings to private lessons and a 30-yard indoor range. Our staff brings over 50 years of combined experience to the counter every single day, and that passion hasn't faded one bit.

Our shop at 226 E Pine St in Central Point sits right at the heart of the Rogue Valley, making us easy to reach from Medford, Ashland, White City, and the surrounding area. And because we serve archers from as far as Crescent City, Gold Beach, Klamath Falls, Roseburg, and Yreka, we understand that a trip to our shop needs to be worth the drive. Do we need to own a bow before coming in, or can we try one at your Southern Oregon archery shop first?
No bow? No problem. We offer range rentals so you can shoot before you buy. Our staff will walk you through the basics and help you find the right fit before committing to a purchase.
We're driving in from Medford or Ashland, is it worth the trip for just a bow tune-up?
Absolutely. We offer fast, on-site bow servicing, most tune-ups and adjustments are done same-day. Paper tune, timing, draw length, string work, it's all here, no need to ship your bow anywhere.
We hunt during archery season in Southern Oregon, do you close during opening weekend?
Yes, we close the opening weekend of both Oregon archery seasons, because our team hunts too. We're back the following week, ready to hear how the hunt went and help you prep for the next one.
Can we bring in a bow we didn't buy from you for repairs or service?
Yes, we service all brands regardless of where you bought them. Whether it's a derailed bow, worn strings, or a full setup overhaul, bring it in, we treat every bow like it's our own.
We've never done archery before, will we feel out of place at your Central Point pro shop?
Not at all. Some of our favorite customers walked in never having touched a bow. Our staff meet you where you are, no jargon, no pressure. First-timers are genuinely welcome here.
